[China – March 3, 2016] Element14 has announced the Atmel SAME70-Xplained Evaluation Kit for Atmel SAME70 General Industrial/Consumer Microcontroller with ARM Cortex-M7 architecture with integrated floating point unit Device.
The SAME70-XPLD microcontroller evaluation board can be used with integrated Atmel Studio, Atmel Software Framework (ASF) drivers and sample code, and various expansion boards that support data streaming. In addition, the SAME70-XPLD evaluation board is also compatible with the Arduino expansion board for greater scalability.
The Atmel SAME70-Xplained Evaluation Kit is intended for engineers seeking to upgrade or transfer SAM4E microcontrollers. The evaluation kit enables engineers to design embedded systems for industrial control, consumer electronics or computer peripheral applications. It features a high-performance, general-purpose ARM Cortex-M7 MCU with high-capacity memory and integrated floating-point DSP running at up to 300 MHz, can be well used in lighting, industrial control, consumer electronics, computer peripherals and robotics applications.
Each expansion board is equipped with standardized sockets and connectors, and includes an Atmel CryptoAuthenTIcaTIonTM ID chip that can be identified after accessing the Xplained MCU board. This information can be used by Atmel Studio to view relevant user guides, application notes, data sheets and sample code to simplify and enhance the development experience.
All Xplained development kits feature an on-board embedded debugger that can be used to program or debug a target microcontroller without the need for any external plug-ins.
The introduction of the Atmel SAME70-Xplained evaluation kit enriches e-Link's solutions for high-end ARM Cortex-M devices, which provide the real-time digital signal processing or fast numerical computing required for these high-end devices. The kit is also compatible with the Atmel Xplained ecosystem, covering the MCU evaluation board, expansion boards incorporating Atmel Studio, Atmel Software Framework (ASF) drivers and sample code, data flow support, and other features that perform a comprehensive evaluation of the microcontroller.
In addition, Element14 has introduced the Atmel® SmartConnect WILC1000 expansion board with Atmel's ultra-low-power IoT module optimized for low-power IoT applications. SmartConnect is a series of independent low-power authentication modules that can be used to introduce wireless network connections. The WULC1000, an IEEE 802.11 b/g/n IoT Link Controller SoC, provides the ideal expansion for existing MCU solutions. Select to be able to introduce a WiFi connection via UART or SPI/SDIO-to-WiFi interface. The WILC1000 can be connected to any Atmel AVR or SMART MCU with minimal resource consumption.
Customers in the Asia Pacific region can now purchase the Atmel SAME70-Xplained development kit through e-Links for $52.86. The Atmel SmartConnect WILC1000 expansion board can also be purchased through e-Links for $100.
Please visit the E-Links booth at the Munich Electronics Show in Shanghai on March 15-17 (Booth 2246, Hall E2). At that time, you can experience a host of the latest product technologies and solutions from Element14 and its major supplier partners, including development boards, semiconductors, connectors, passive components, electromechanical products, test and measurement tools, and more. The entire design process from the R&D to the manufacturing stage.
Introduction to e-meeting
The predecessor of the e-Community is Pai Rui Electronics, which is part of element14 and its parent company, the Premier Farnell Group. The e-Community website is the first interactive community, research portal and e-commerce site for electronic design engineers and electronics enthusiasts in Greater China. The site provides product data, design tools, technical information and top-notch electronic components to make electronic design more convenient. Users can consult industry experts and collaborate with colleagues around the world.
Element14 has been able to provide more than 400,000 off-the-shelf components from 3,000 world-renowned suppliers to Greater China. Among them, there are 42,000 kinds of storage in Shanghai, which can be delivered in China in the next day; Asian stocks arrive within 2-3 working days, and the rest of overseas stocks can also reach the 5th or shorter arrival period.
Chinese design engineers can inquire and purchase products through Chinese product catalogs, websites, professional customer service centers and senior sales teams without the minimum purchase quantity and no minimum purchase amount.

The main pain points in obtaining customers in foreign trade are fierce market competition, high customer acquisition costs, low customer stickiness, and single marketing methods. With the changes in the market environment, traditional marketing methods have been unable to meet customer needs. Enterprises need innovative marketing methods and technical means to improve customer stickiness and loyalty, reduce customer acquisition costs, in order to obtain more business opportunities in the fierce market competition.
