The magic of Apple's upcoming AR platform ARKit is that it requires no additional hardware, and all the amazing AR experience we see on the iPhone is just using the iPhone's own camera. Clay is also looking for gesture tracking in the same way.

Developers may be more familiar with Clay, an SDK that allows smart phone applications to track the user's hand movements through the phone camera. It recognizes 30 gestures that users can use to freely navigate the experience. In the past, the company has shown it as a way to interact with computers and control smartphone-based VR experiences. You can watch the following video:
Since Apple launched ARKit last month, the Clay team has integrated functionality into the SDK and the company told us that it will be completed in the next week or two.
In theory, this means that ARKit can be easily and easily controlled on iOS 11. Currently, Microsoft's HoloLens uses a similar solution, where users can use gestures to interact with virtual objects and interfaces in the real world. The difference is that the iPhone is not an AR head (at least not yet), so you may need to use one hand to pick up the phone and then control it with the other hand.
The Clay team stated that the SDK is currently plugged into the Unity engine and plans to support the Samsung Galaxy phone in the near future.
