Apple accelerates the pace of updating next month and begins to fully upgrade MacBook

Electronic enthusiasts eight o'clock: June 5 is the day of the Apple Developers Conference (WWDC), usually this conference will only have new operating systems and software releases, but this year there will be new hardware products released.

According to Bloomberg News, laptops including the MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air will be available. This is only half a year away from the launch of the new MacBook Pro.

Updates and upgrades are concentrated on the processor. The Kaby Lake processor will be used in all three product lines, the seventh generation of Intel's last year.

At the end of last year, the MacBook Pro was criticized when it was launched. Apple also equipped it with Intel's 2015 Skylake processor. Later, Apple explained that this was because Kaby Lake was not yet in mass production when the MacBook Pro was developed.

Other parts may continue the design at the end of last year: the appearance is more compact, the USB and charging interface are replaced by type-c, and a touch bar touch bar that can be used for touch is added.

Another source said that the MacBook Pro may change its internal structure. Last year's MacBook Pro originally planned to have a longer battery life, but a key test failed on the eve of the release, in order to catch up with the Christmas shopping season. Temporarily changed to a more conservative solution. It seems that this problem is solved now, and the new MacBook Pro may have better battery performance.

Another way of saying this is that Apple is also developing its own chips for the MacBook Pro, instead of relying on purchasing from Intel. But progress in this area is not so fast, it should not appear next month.

Although the laptop is updated, the MacBook Air is the most uncertain. It is not known whether other hardware components will be upgraded besides the processor. After all, this product will continue to look like 2010.

At the 2008 conference, Steve Jobs pulled the computer out of a paper bag, which was the only slim design at the time, but nine years later, it was common for PC makers to create a computer that was equally lightweight, better screen, and cheaper. In contrast, the MacBook Air is not that special.

The latest update to the MacBook Air in 2015, which only increased memory capacity, is the only Apple product that has not been upgraded to ReTIna. So many people think that Apple will permanently cut off Air's product line.

Since the processor is being updated, this means that the MacBook Air has not been abandoned, but if you want to continue to play the role of the entry Mac, let the Air maintain 1440 x 800 resolution when the mid-priced Windows computer generally uses 1920 x 1080 resolution. Not attractive. After all, if you mainly use Office and browser, the speed of the processor is not so direct, but the low-resolution screen can be seen at a glance.

The performance changes brought by upgrading the processor will not be great. Kaby Lake is not much upgraded compared to the Skylake used by Apple's previous generation of MacBook Pro. Intel's own statement shows a 12% performance increase under the same power consumption. From the existing evaluation, this figure is closer to 10%.

But upgrading the processor reflects changes in Apple's product strategy. After Cook took over, the Mac no longer followed the best processors on the market, and the MacBook Pro used the same generation of CPUs from 2013 to 2015. The graphics processor is even worse. From 2012 to 2014, the graphics performance of the most expensive MacBook Pro 15 has not changed.

The Mac product line, including desktop products, has been slow to update. The news and review site MacRumors has a "buy guide", and none of the 6 products on the Mac have been "purchased". The main reason is that they haven't been updated for too long, like the Mac Mini has been in motion for more than 900 days.

The current rhythm changes mean that Apple may increase the frequency of upgrades of core components such as processors in the future, so as to attract more people to buy, and no longer care about the appearance upgrade as in the past few years.

Smart Portable Projector

Usually, there are certain restrictions on smart portable projectors in 2 aspects:
1. Size: Usually the size is the size of a mobile phone.
2. Battery life: It is required to have at least 1-2 hours or more of battery life without power connection. In addition, its general weight will not exceed 0.2Kg, and some do not even need fan cooling or ultra-small silent fan cooling. Can be carried with you (it can be put into a pocket, the screen can be projected to 40-50 inches or more, so sometimes we also call it a pico projector or a pocket projector.)
