It was learned from China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation that China's Zhongxing 9A was successfully tracked by satellite propulsion.
On June 19, 2017, the Long March 3 B-Harbin 28 rocket failed to send the satellite into the orbit during the launch of the Zhongxing 9A satellite.
With the close cooperation of Xi'an Satellite Monitoring and Control Center, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation successfully completed the orbit adjustment on the 5th of East Longitude on July 5, 2017.
At present, the satellite systems are working normally, the transponders have been opened, and the on-orbit test will be carried out as planned.
The use of its own fuel in the perigee ignition to the apogee is a success. Because the general communication satellites carry a large amount of fuel in order to ensure normal operation for more than ten years, satellites can use these fuels to complete the "unfinished business" of the three-stage rocket. Of course, doing so will inevitably deplete the life of the satellite, and in fact, the Star 9A does the same. Let's see how it climbs step by step!
The first thing to answer is why the change track is chosen in a perigee rather than elsewhere.
Simply put, it is to save the most fuel. The perigee is the point on the elliptical orbit of the spacecraft orbiting the earth that is closest to the center of the earth. Acceleration at a perigee will raise the apogee, which is the most fuel-efficient way to change the orbital height. Changing the track at other locations in the track not only wastes fuel, but also changes other parameters of the track, causing trouble for ground monitoring and tracking.
Due to the abnormal work of the third-level rocket, the third-level rocket failed to provide sufficient power to send the Zhongxing 9A to the designated altitude (blue is the actual delivery orbit caused by the rocket anomaly, and red is the target orbit of the rocket plan).
Then the question is coming. How does Zhongxing 9A perform orbiting in a perigee?
First of all, we must ensure that the Zhongxing 9A accelerates at the perigee, and increases its speed in a short time, so that the satellite enters the elliptical transfer orbit. If the orbit is not enough, it will come again until it reaches the target orbit.

According to the orbital parameters currently available, Zhongxing 9A ignited at the near-point at noon on June 19, and lifted more than 10,000 kilometers in one breath (yellow track in the schematic), tears!

Next, it needs to continue to work hard to change the track, and push itself to reach the rocket target orbit that Changsan B plans to reach (the red in the schematic is the rocket target orbit after the satellite is orbital).
After reaching the rocket target orbit, in order to make the Zhongxing 9A enter the synchronous orbit, the engine must be started again when the satellite moves to the apogee, so that the required centrifugal force is increased to the same as the gravitational force of the final position, so that the Zhongxing 9A can enter smoothly. The synchronous track makes a uniform circular motion, which ultimately achieves self-rescue.
