After the release of the LED700A series of LED TVs in September, Sharp released the LX710A series of LED LCD TVs on December 7 to accelerate the market layout of LED LCD TVs. Daze Minzhi, general manager of Sharp Trading (China) Co., Ltd. also said that the proportion of LED LCD TVs in Sharp will increase to 20% in all LCD TVs in 2010.
Sharp's LX710A series of LED TVs, including 60-inch, 52-inch, 46-inch and 40-inch models, use the latest UV2A panel technology and LED backlight, coupled with the first practical optical alignment technology to further enhance the picture. The quality is more than 50% compared to Sharp's previous LCD TVs.
LED LCD TV refers to LCD TVs that currently use LED backlights. Compared with traditional LCD TVs, the brightness and color of the screen are better, while the thinner and more power-saving, it is generally considered to be the future development direction.
Since the launch of the first LED LCD TV at the end of 2008, Sharp will launch a new series every six months. Earlier, Osawa said in an interview that Sharp hopes that LED TVs will account for 20% and 40% of all TVs in the next year. By the end of this year, Sharp LED TVs accounted for 10% of its product line.
