Linear Technology Corporation introduces the LTC3670, a device with a 400mA, 2.25MHz, synchronous buck regulator and two 150mA LDOs in a 2mm x 3mm DFN package. The device's regulator and two LDOs are adjustable to 0.8V, providing a very compact three-output for handheld applications. Its 2.5V to 5.5V input voltage range makes the device ideal for applications powered by single-cell Li-Ion. The adjustable output is ideal for providing I/O and core voltages for the latest DSPs and micros, with separate enable pins for each channel. The buck regulator's 2.25MHz switching frequency allows the use of tiny, low-cost external components, providing a very compact footprint for handheld applications.
The LTC3670's synchronous buck regulator achieves efficiencies as high as 93%, while constant frequency, current mode operation minimizes noise while achieving fast transient response. The internal LDO requires only a 150mV dropout voltage and provides two additional low noise outputs. The Burst Mode operation of the LTC3670 minimizes quiescent current to only 70uA under no-load conditions, maximizing battery run time. Other features include power good pins, internal soft start, and internal compensation.
The LTC3670 is available from stock in a 12-lead 2mm x 3mm DFN package. It is available in 1,000-piece quantities and is priced at $1.95 each.
Performance Summary: LTC3670
Three output power supply from a single 2.5V to 5.5V input Monolithic integrated circuit with a 400mA synchronous step-down DC/DC regulator and two 150mA LDOs
Output adjustable to 0.8V
±2.5% reference accuracy operates at a constant frequency of 2.25MHz Burst Mode operation achieves high efficiency at light loads; IQ = 70uA when all outputs are started
Each output has an independent enable pin current mode for excellent voltage and load transient response. Each output has an internal soft-start slim 12-lead 3mm x 2mm x 0.75mm DFN package

Category 8, or just Cat8, is the latest standard in copper Ethernet Cable. It represents a significant leap in data transfer speed over the earlier Cat7 and Cat6a network cables. It uses standard RJ45 connectors and is backwards compatible with previous standards.
Cat8 is the fastest Ethernet cable yet. It's data transfer speed of up to 40 Gbps is four times faster than Cat6a, while its support of bandwidth up to 2 GHz (four times more than standard Cat6a bandwidth) reduces latency for superior signal quality.
