Keyssa , a leader in high-speed, contactless connectivity technology, today announced the launch of its new generation of componentized connector products, the KSS104 , which offers improved electrical and mechanical resistance, lower standby power, and improved testability. And support for more communication protocols and other features. KSS104 either a semi-custom embedded components, may also be a functional unit of a complete plug and play module design, both of which are members of Keyssa available KissConnector products. In addition, KSS 104 can also be used as a platform to support future improvements, including lower cost and smaller size.

KissConnector is a miniaturized, low-cost, low-power, all-solid-state, embeddable electromagnetic connector that safely moves large files between devices with high bandwidth. Keyssa is using its KissConnectivity technology to open a new era that will change the way devices communicate and give designers the freedom to design devices in new ways.

KSS 104 includes the following features:

Significantly improved signal integrity for more flexible system implementation

· Reduced standby power consumption

· Bandwidth increase exceeds 10% (6Gbits per second)

· Improved testability

· Added support for PCIe and high-speed video signals (previously supported protocols include USBSS, DisplayPort, and SATA)

"The high-speed KissConnectivity concept is gaining more and more popularity in the marketplace, either as a device-to-device connector externally or as a board-to-board high-speed wireless internal connector inside the device," Keyssa Chief Executive Officer Eric Almgren said. “Our next-generation products not only enable customers to get faster time-to-market, but also support new high-speed video signals and PCIe, opening up new applications for KSS104, such as high-definition television (HDTV) and data centers.”

The KSS104 is designed to create a universal, high-speed connector that can be used in a wide range of applications, covering external connections (device-to-device) and internal connections (board-to-board). Samples of the KSS104 are currently available and will be available in volume production in June 2017.

Keyssa won the Edison Award

Another piece of news is that Keyssa has won the internationally acclaimed Edison Awards 2017 Grand Prix. This prestigious award stems from the persistence and innovation of Thomas Edison, which aims to discover and recognize innovation, creativity and originality in the global economy. Keyssa has won the award for its wireless solutions for consumer electronics and information technology. The company will accept the award at the Edison Awards Celebrations held in New York on April 20, 2017.
