Jiangsu strives to build a supporting sensor industrial base for the Internet of Things

It is understood that the Internet of Things is a huge network formed by combining various information sensing devices with the Internet. It is currently a hot topic in China and the world. It is hailed as the third information technology revolution and industrial wave, and the sensor industry is The key to the development of the Internet of Things in the future.

At present, Zhouzhuang has gathered more than 50 sensor-based enterprises and R&D centers. The products include eight types of sensors: infrared, photoelectric, Hall, and thermal, and have become China's largest and most concentrated national sensor industry base. Zhou Zhong, party secretary of Zhouzhuang Township, said that the rapid growth and accumulation of sensor industry in Zhouzhuang is currently evident.

It is reported that the development of the sensor industry in Zhouzhuang started early and has a high starting point. As early as November 1998, the Kunshan High-tech Industrial Park in Kunshan, which was jointly developed by Kunshan and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, settled in Zhouzhuang. In December 2000, the park was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology as the National Torch Program Kunshan Sensor Industry Base. In 2004, the National Torch Plan Kunshan Sensor Industry Base initiated the establishment of Jiangsu Sensor Industry Technology Association. In 2005, the headquarters of China Sensor Information Network settled in Zhouzhuang. In recent years, Zhouzhuang has also extended to the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain and extended to the high end of the value chain. It has successively introduced and cultivated sensor development and production companies such as Shuangqiao Monitoring, Zhongke Sensing, Guangming Optoelectronics, and research and development of infrared, photoelectric, ultrasonic, and image production. Eight other categories of products, covering sensor materials, products, applications and other fields.

Relying on the National Torch Program Kunshan Sensor Industry Base, Zhouzhuang has also attracted dozens of research institutes and dozens of research institutes at home and abroad, such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences Microelectronics Institute and Xi’an Institute of Optoelectronics with uncooled infrared focal plane image sensors and multi-sensor data fusion technologies. High-level leading talents already have considerable sensor R&D strength and talent reserves.

In the future, Zhouzhuang will use its unique base of sensor bases, strengthen the convergence, take advantage of the situation, and strive to become the necessary sensor and R&D base for the Internet of Things industry, and incorporate the development of Kunshan's sensor industry into the national plan to form a new economic growth point. Build new development advantages. “In the core technology of the Internet of Things, Zhouzhuang will focus on the development of smart sensors and multi-sensor data focusing on multi-sensor and data fusion technologies for smart grid technology, sensor technologies for human health information monitoring, and sensor technologies for intelligent transportation systems. Fusion technology and its application system: Through 3-5 years of efforts, 10 leading companies with annual sales exceeding RMB 100 million have been introduced and cultivated, 1 national-level engineering and technology research center, 1 postdoctoral research station, and domestic and foreign sensors have been introduced. With 50 experts and technicians, a number of projects such as the 863 Program and the National Torch Program have been implemented. The output value of the sensor industry has reached 30 billion yuan, and China has made every effort to build a first-class, internationally-renowned supporting sensor industrial base for the Internet of Things, Li Zhong said.
