How much do Chinese consumers know about lighting technology? The survey shows that there are many misunderstandings

How much do Chinese consumers know about lighting technology? Or change the question: How much do Chinese consumers think about lighting technology? Do they know how to buy the corresponding wattage of lighting products according to the color temperature and lumens they need? Do they know that light has biological effects? In the “Landwins International Consumer Research” survey, including the representative survey of more than 2,000 Chinese consumers, there is still a lack of understanding of many aspects of current and future lighting technologies.

Little is known about the basic unit of measurement of lighting

Most consumers think they know a lot, but that's not the case. 65% of Chinese consumers responded to the questionnaire by saying that they fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of various lighting technologies, or at least understand well, including understanding of (smart) LED lighting products to traditional incandescent lamps.

When asked about the problem of the unit of measurement, for example, for those units that have long been printed on the light source and the box of the lamp, people’s perceptions are immediately apparent: 78% of Chinese consumers can The power consumption is properly linked. For important measurement units that describe LED products such as “color temperature” and “lumen”, only about half (58% and 61%) of respondents (respectively) have the correct perception.

According to the general manager of Linde Vance, Greater China, the reason for this question is that "color temperature provides information about the color of light, such as daylight (greater than 5300K), white light (3300K ~ 5300K) and warm white light ( Less than 2700K), etc. The luminous flux in lumens tells people how much light the luminaire emits. Therefore, for high-efficiency LED lighting products, the key value reflecting brightness is not the wattage, but the lumen number.

It is worth noting that German respondents are less accurate in identifying these units of measurement than respondents from all other countries. Only 33% of all respondents in Germany are able to make the right choice between all units of measure. Among respondents in the UK, France, Sweden, the United States, Canada, Brazil, and China, the proportion of people who can correctly identify these units of measurement ranges from 40% to 50%. The correct rate of Italian respondents reached 55%, which is the highest rate among all respondents.

Amazing place in the purchase list

If you want to know which lighting technologies consumers are looking for in their local DIY stores or on the Internet, we will find that their purchase list contains the most LED technology (whether or not it has intelligent features), which is nothing special. Surprisingly, in the list of purchases of many people, it is also obvious that the old technology is outdated. For example, 27% of Germans still list “traditional light bulbs” in their shopping list, which seems completely I did not realize that in addition to the cargo inventory and special-purpose light source products, the EU's lock-up order has been in effect since September 2009, and the store no longer sells any conventional light source products. Another surprising thing is that the demand for halogen lamps is still very strong. Since 2009, these products have been banned from being sold in the market in stages and in batches, and this ban will further accelerate implementation.

Human lighting: more information is needed

Human lighting, which is "providing appropriate light according to the needs of users", is a major development trend in the lighting industry. A large number of advertising campaigns are centered around this trend. The results of scientific experiments prove that artificial light that highly simulates natural light changes can greatly help the human body to establish and maintain a stable circadian rhythm, improve people's happiness and help people improve their health.

However, in answering questions about the biological effects of artificial light on the human body, the majority of Chinese respondents (66%) said they knew very little about one. Even so, two-thirds (78%) believe that the use of artificial light to adjust the mood of the human body and people according to individual needs is indeed a big advantage. Therefore, people generally accept an acceptable attitude towards "human lighting." For example, 81% of respondents said that if they know enough about the biological effects of light, they will definitely have a major impact on their purchasing decisions.

Bluetooth Retro Speaker

The sound quality of small speakers is also good. It does not have the same large speakers and power as HIFI speakers, and its sound quality cannot compete with large speakers due to physical limitations. But for the vast majority of users who are not golden ears, the use of small speakers with tablets and mobile phones is sufficient to meet their hearing needs.

For Bluetooth retro speakers, I personally think that when many people buy speakers, the appearance is the first priority and the function is second.

We focus on retro Bluetooth speakers,It has high energy density, mini size, light weight and diversified shapes;Excellent fast charging performance, support fast charging and other excellent features
with a brand-new design, showing retro nostalgia without losing fashion. It uses a 2.5-inch speaker and has many functions such as FM radio, Bluetooth fast connection, multi-mode switching, and HIFI high fidelity. Wireless Bluetooth 4-10 hours of playback (at 50% volume), which adds to its unique charm.
